Downtown, the lake, or north of Taunton — does that change the file?
The lot changes the drawings. Grade, setbacks, and neighbours are not the same on King Street as they are toward Lakeview Park. If you own the land in Oshawa, we walk it. Permits still go to the City of Oshawa. We will tell you if it is a Farwes house.
I could buy in a new-home community instead. Why talk to you?
Those streets sell a floor plan on their lot. If you already own the land, you do not need that. Farwes designs the house for your lot. See custom homes we have already built, then decide.
What if my lot is in Whitby, Bowmanville, Cobourg, or further?
Whitby is a different municipality. If the lot is too far west, we will say so. The shop stays in Cobourg. Other land: Bowmanville, Clarington, Cobourg, Port Hope, Grafton, Brighton, Northumberland, Durham Region, or the Kawartha Lakes.
Who do I deal with once we start?
One project manager. Design, City of Oshawa permits, and construction stay in one file. That is the whole point of design-build. The sequence is on our process.
